So the topic of today's "HOW TO DO", procedure text 📝
In the text procedure, there are 4 important structures to compose the text, namely:
• Imperative Sentence
Because the majority of the contents of this text are instructions, an imperative sentence will be found which begins with the verb.
Example :
-› Steps how to cook tomato soup:
Cut tomatoes, onions, and garlic into small pieces.
Fry them in a pan with butter for five minutes.
Add water, spices, salt and pepper.
Heat until the water boils.
Turn down the heat and cover with lid. Cook gently for one hour.
• Must and Mustn't
» Must is used to express that we have to do something important
Example : you must have an account before you sign up to school.
» Mustn't is used to express that we are forbidden to do something.
Example : You musn't refill the ink before it runs out.
• Sentence Connectors for Telling Actions in Order.
The steps or instructions in the procedure text in English are arranged sequentially, so that from one step to the next using a connector.
• Adverb of Manner
Finally, in addition to using conjunctions and imperative sentences, in the procedure text there will be adverbs of manner or adverbs of how to clarify instructions so that they can give the results expected by people who follow just a few steps.
Now because you have explained everything, we can immediately make a "HOW TO DO" text procedure
Now i will make structure text how to do sit up and plank
• How to do sit up :
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent.
2. You can cross your arms in front of your chest or straighten your arms at your sides without touching the floor. (You can cross your arms in front of your chest or straighten your arms at your sides without touching the floor.)
3. Bangunkan tubuh dari lantai lalu dekatkan dada ke paha.
4. Turunkan lagi tubuh ke lantai ke posisi semula.
5. Setelah kembali ke posisi semula, lakukan gerakan yang sama jika ingin terus berlatih.
• How to do plank :
Start the plank in a prone position, forearms and toes on the floor, elbows directly under shoulders, forearms facing forward, head relaxed and gaze down at the floor.
Lift the body using the abdominal muscles, pulling the navel towards the spine, keeping the body in a position from the ears until the toes can be in a straight line. Make sure the shoulders are down, not against the ears. Keep the heel on the sole of the foot.
Hold this position for 10 seconds, then lie down on the floor. Repeat several times. Once trained, hold the plank position for 30, 45, to 60 seconds.
